Sitting on the Fence
As you can see, the weather in Dublin can’t make up its mind. The barometer is hovering between Rain and Fair.
I worked an 8-2 shift today and going into work the weather looked promising - it’s just after 3pm now and very overcast and looking like rain.
The draw for the Annual Mixed Tennis Tournament was made yesterday. It’s hotly contested and there is a nice little trophy and prize for winners on finals day (28 April). The names are picked randomly out of a hat and I am picked with a new guy in the club who I have never even seen yet. Apparently he hasn’t played much tennis but is a fairly handy squash player. Squash is a hard hitting game where a lot of slice is played and you need to be fit. Whereas tennis requires more of a selection of shots plus changing the pace when necessary etc - it will be interesting to see how we get on as we are playing the number 1 lady in the club and a veteran - read canny and experienced - tennis player who takes in all very seriously. Our first round game is at 7 this evening. Hopefully it will be a good match
This is another emergency blip as I had a busy weekend entertaining a visitor from abroad and didn’t have time to think about taking photos. I didn’t get to the beach this morning which I really miss and won’t tomorrow either. Hot damn
