Gently down the stream

Celebration

Today was my daughter's birthday, so - as everyone had managed to shuffle off work commitments - we had a family party.  That meant Duke, Hazel and Jax also rampaging through the house.  And so (the humans being shy) today is another dog blip.  I hope you don't mind, but it seemed a good opportunity for a second 'Blipdogs2018', if we're allowed two.

This is Duke, after lunch, when we took the 3 of them for a scamper in the park.  Duke is the love of Hazel's life so there was an awful lot of flirt'n'chase games.  I've put another in Extras plus a blip of the broached gluten-free, sugar-flowered birthday cake made by daughter's boyfriend.  I was so impressed.  Clearly a Bake Off contestant in the making!

I've just changed this to the mono version (which I nearly posted originally).  Have just caught up with today's MonoMonday, subject Contrasts.  Thanks to Chantler63 for hosting this month.  Well, there is a contrast in this I particularly like - the action completely sharp and frozen and the still background soft and giving a false impression of movement.  And the way Duke almost doesn't belong in the frame and  might come bounding out.  The extras are still in colour.

Oh dear, I'm late (for me) posting this.  Hope your week's started well  xx
