A hunting we won't go

The scruffy old sofa bed in our holiday cottage has for  years been draped in an assortment of cloth covers (aka throws) in an attempt to disguise the splashes and stains acquired in a past life. Finally I decided that it either had to be replaced or cosmetically enhanced and the latter seemed the cheaper option. I headed for the sale offers in our nearest fabric outlet and straightway fell in love this glorious design. It resembles a classic hunting tapestry, beloved of the wealthy in times gone by to hang on their damp and dusty castle walls  but without the hunters: it just has  animals, birds, butterflies and flowers. What could be nicer?

An incredibly clever, but very modest,  local lady made the loose covers after just one measuring-up visit and returned to fit them (perfectly) - see extra for the whole thing. I especially like the hare in the main picture.

Two blippers will staying in the cottage this summer but there are plenty  more weeks available if anyone fancies trying out this sofa for themselves - and there's a 10% discount for Blip guests.
