Residents

A self sown seedling of Phyteuma sieberi caught my eye in the first of the sunshine today.  Seems I wasn't alone.

Phyteuma are relatives of campanula, the bellflowers.  The tubular flowers split in the middle to let insects in.  There are a number of similar species, some of which will be adding their colour to the palette in the alpine meadows - and other places - right now.

A bit of sorting, a bit of cooking, a bit of gardening.  Pretty good day all round.
