A little drop of rain .....,

...... fell during the night and gave my anemones a shower but it wasn't quite enough to give the ground a good soaking. If the weather forecast is to believed rain is on the way and should give us a good soaking on Wednesday night.

I took the dogs for a walk round Maxwell Park today and was very surprised to see this proud mum watching over her rather large family of ducklings. I could visit the pond again tomorrow and not see a sign of any of them. Unlike goslings and cygnets who stay around for some time ducklings can be here today and gone tomorrow.
