J K Owling!

This is a bit of an EB, as I'd hoped to be able to blip a photo of the Lunar Eclipse this evening. Sadly, after all the clear sunny evenings we've had for weeks, tonight there's heavy cloud so the moon is in hiding.

Our whistle-stop tour continues - this week we've been to Macclesfield, Oxford and London, and now we're in Bath to visit Son #2.

On our way back to our hotel after a meal with him & his partner, we passed this owl - it's called "JK Owling"! It's sponsored by the wealth management company outside whose door it resides. It's clearly a very bookish owl, if you look large you'll see.

Minerva’s "Owls of Bath 2018" is a major public art sculpture trail featuring a giant flock of over 80 individually decorated, super-sized owl sculptures displayed across the City of Bath and surrounding region from 25 June - 10 September. Why owls? Well, the Roman Baths temple, built in 1AD, was dedicated to Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom, whose symbol was the owl.

The owls will be auctioned for charity on 17th October.
