On guard

Yeterday evening we watched a group of soldiers resplendent in red jackets and busby bearskin hats guarding Buckingham Palace. They performed a strange ritual and changed places, some obviously going off duty. Although their uniform was very traditional, they were armed with machine guns, as were the tough looking policemen standing by the gates.

Today one of our Aylesbury Ducks was on guard in the broken dog kennel. It served as her sentry box. She surveyed the scene and made sure everything was in order.
