Buzzing

With the wetter weather come the insects.  We've already seen more wasps than usual and I was not alone when admiring the charms of Eucomis bicolor which has the common name of Pineapple Lily - despite not being a member of the Lily family!

A quiet day at home .... lots more bulbs re-potted.  Another week should see the job done.  These Eucomis stay in the ground year round although I'm considering splitting this clump in the winter when they are dormant.  It started out as a single bulb.  As the bulb has divided the size of the flower spikes has got smaller, giving the bulbs a bit more room could be a good move.
