Afloat

Opening the curtains on a calm morning I could see one of our boats slowly sinking. While I phoned the harbour seccy it gently turned on its side and settled down into the water. It’s a worry.
Anyway, the morning turned fine and sunny and surprisingly warm - and as there was no wind it was ideal for having a bit of a tweak with that foresail over at the mooring. Just tightening up the back stay, y’see. And very pleasant it was to paddle over in the inflatable.
Later, I did a good tidy up in the garden utilising my new 120l reusable garden sacks! And then up town - on my tod to see The Guardians. A most beautiful film, set in rural France during WW1 and a gentle affecting tale too.
And arriving back, Mel had managed to refloat his boat. And the workmen had cleared off.
