bank holiday monday trip!

thankfully a much drier day today after a washout yesterday! And that meant we got to visit our favourite NGS Open Garden at Ulting Wick, Essex.  The owner always has the most amazing dahlias planted in a fabulous setting so I always come away with a list of new varieties that I need to find when I start plant shopping for the year ahead!

The local church, All Saints, is also open when the gardens are so we always like to walk round it as it's a beautiful church. It dates from about 1150AD and sits by the River Chelmer. Such a peaceful place!
