The Terracotta Army

I have joined the WI in the village on the basis that all their trips will be to places I have not been to before. The first is to Liverpool to see the 10 soldiers that the Chinese have allowed to travel from the thousands making up the First Emperor's Terracotta Army.  It did make me want to go to China to see them in situ - good marketing on the part of the Chinese. They are huge - larger than life style and they were made 2000 years ago. Photo of most of the 10 in extras. Managed also to sneak in a tour of the Slavery Museum in the morning . Had not realised how involved Liverpool was in the slave trade. More so that London or Bristol.
