Home sweet home

Back home this evening though it was touch and go whether I would be kept in another day. It seems my sodium levels were low- could have been something to do with drinking too much water. Whatever. Surgeon advised me to eat a packet of crisps.
Lunchtime blood test came out clear so it was a frantic call to M to come and get me. No need to have hurried though because there were several hours wait for the pharmacy to come up with all the pills I have been given mainly painkillers.

Now I see why GPs are reluctant to put patients forward for knee surgery.
If you knew what you would have to go through I think folk would back out...

Only one minor criticism of this excellent hospital . I was cold. The heating had not been switched on in some of the wards.
While I had a a great room with a superb view of the river Clyde it also had generous big windows. But still I would not have swopped my room with a view for a warmer one.
Talking of swopping it was discovered in the routine pre -op checks I had been wrongly labelled! Fortunately it was discovered before I reached the operating table.
