Autumn colours

I had my first walk around the garden today and I am feeling much stronger. Delighted to see this colourful acer.

I am still feeling indignant about the way I was pushed out of Larbert hospital at 3 am  (“The NHS has run out of money” said the nurse) and told to make my own way home.

What if I had not got a husband the other end waiting for me?
What if I could not afford the £30 taxi fare?

I am lucky. Many folk aren’t.

Then I learn this is not uncommon. Met a woman whose daughter gave birth at 3 am and was told to go home with baby at 6 am.

Her husband was working nights and the family had expected her to be in until the following day.

Having had first class treatment at the Golden Jubilee, a state- of- the- art hospital in Glasgow, it came as a nasty shock to find the disparity between that service and local facilities.
