Speyer am Rhein

I spent the day in Speyer am Rhein. There is so much to see there, can't put it all in a few hours.
Of course the Dom (the cathedral), the Dom gardens and the Rhine river (very low on water). Lunch in a Biergarten, the Altstadt, ice cream. Then the Judenhof with the museum and the mikvah (my first visit there, was mostly impressed by the mikvah; there is one in Kaiserslautern but it's not open to public, you have to book a special tour).
On the way back to the train station I visited our former chancellor Helmut Kohl's last rest, which is in Adenauerpark, right across from the train station. Now I understand why everybody was so surprised for this choice of a burial place.

My blip is the view when climbing up the steps from the mikvah back into daylight.

It would have been a very good day if it hadn't been for the train ride home. I was stuck in Schifferstadt for an hour and a half because someone "parked" their car between railroad gates and that blocked train traffic for a looong while. It would not have been that bad if my clothing had not been summerlike - it got later and later and colder and colder. Not good for earaches.
