Sunday: USS Midway

I never realised how big an aircraft carrier was until today. They truly are immense and .......built by women! in 1945. Hurrah! We toured the USS Midway today (featured, in part, in 'Top Gun'). The scale of the ship was absolutely amazing.

From there we got a ferry to Coronado Island - we rented bikes at the other end and cycled round to the Coronado Hotel, made famous in 'Some Like It Hot', surely one of the best films of all time.

This evening we explored 'Duck Foot' microbrewery and some fine ramen.
