L and I ventured to Hogganfield Loch for our walk this morning. Togbe enjoyed meeting lots of new doggie friends while L and I were doing a bit of bird spotting.

The circuit of the loch is probably just over 2 miles and when the weather is fine it's a lovely walk. Today we had the most horrendous shower of hail hitting us full on ... fairly stung the skin.

When we saw the heron it was sitting with its head bowed doing a spot of preening. As the hail bounced on the path I just stood, waited and was rewarded :-))
