Oh for the wings of a dove

A busy morning Amanda and Mr T were coming up for lunch.  I made pasties for them and as ever they went down well. We all had a nice chat and then after lunch Amanda got her sewing machine out (she had brought it up with her) and we proceeded to explore.  It is a nice machine and plenty of features.  She had brought up some fat quarters and I helped her cut them out and set her on the road to sewing them together -  She did very well.
After they left I thought about my Blip and on entering the kitchen I heard the plaintive song of my pie blackbird singing Oh for the Wings of a Dove.  Now isn't that silly - how can a pie blackbird sing and also a  dove's wings are white and a blackbird's wings are  BLACK.  KG hurriedly drew a dove to show the blackbird that it was not possible to have the wings of a dove.  The pie blackbird sadly agreed  and I just hope he doesn't hear the nursery rhyme sing  a song of sixpence
A dull day with a little sunshine
