Flooding

We managed 2 walks without rain then the skys opened about 11am and it poured down all day, and was pretty windy again too.

This is a pic taken on one of the walks down Lin Dyke. In the front it is usually a babbling stream alongside the path, up in the top right hand corner is the lake, the rest is usually field, until we get a lot of rain then it floods. The wetland birds love it though, and although you can't see it in this picture, further along was a heron in the distance.

Well we got lunch then I noticed the Rugby was on all afternoon, from 12.45 kick off first one France v Italy,  then 2.30 Wales v Ireland wow Wales beat them hands down 27 to 7 then 5pm England v Scotland what a game England were 31 to Scotlands 0 at half time then Scotland came back with a vengeance and were in the lead with 38 when at the last moment England scored a try and levelled with them 38 38 a draw. All very good matches.

We had the lamb joint for tea we got it at Christmas with our Christmas one, very nice (a bit late with the Rugby) then watched Angels and Demons Tom Hanks. Seen it before but still watched it.. So a day of tele watching. Still it was a rotten day weather-wise, and we did do 2 good walks this morning.

Yesterday I got some of my first plug plants for the hanging baskets from the local Nursery, they have a website and the owner Marie put on that the first plugs were in. They are very good, she does wreath making classes at Christmas and they are very popular, even the kids go to them with their mums.
