So Much For That

We'd made up our mind to have a day with little food and no wine to make up for the abundance of both during our coach trip to Santiago, but then...  the Padre rang to invite us for lunch in Montemor, the other side of Évora. About half an hour to get ready. Mike threw the concrete he'd mixed into the door frame he's making, and I finished hanging out the washing, and off we went.

And wow, what a place! The view of Montemor castle and town was amazing, see extra. (Using my extras up too quickly, but what to do??) As was the food. As was the company, which included two women from Montemor, one of whom insisted on paying the bill. The conversation wasn't bad either.

Anyway, no more food for us today!

Gratefuls:
- being invited to eat at this superb place
- riding there in the Padre's new (to him) silver Mercedes
- our son being referred to the Royal Orthopedic Hospital for probable keyhole surgery for his knee, good old NHS
