Wednesday: Leaving Las Vegas

It was our last morning in Las Vegas so, before heading to the airport, we took a final stroll up and down Fremont Street. The difference between Fremont Street in the morning, and at night, could not be more stark.

Slight delay with our flight back to Vancouver but nothing dramatic.

It's been a fantastic trip away. It's a great reminder of just how enriching even a few days away can be - after all, we were only away for four nights. But it has felt like so much longer - apart from anything, seeing the Grand Canyon has been an indescribable experience.

K. and I have been talking about this quote from Virginia Woolf: 'The past is beautiful because one never realises an emotion at the time. It expands later, and thus we don't have complete emotions about the present, only about the past'.
