Quod oculus meus videt

River Brathay

An early start (4.30 am), a drive north, arriving in the Lake District before 8 am. A 15 mile walk, 4 Wainwright’s ticked off (Black Crag, Holme Fell, Lingmoor Fell and Loughrigg Fell) very lumpy crossing both Little and Great Langdale valleys between the peaks.

Then a walk along the River Brathay before dinner. The sunset was interesting, if not spectacular.

Last night I had an issue with my laptop, which I thought I’d fixed with the help of Apple support but when I came to load my images from the day’s walk it would not recognise the card reader. Gnashing of teeth then a quick lesson in downloading images via the Sony and Nikon apps. It finally worked after some initial frustration. Then it was across to Snapseed for processing. I’m hoping the colours are OK, but I can’t really tell so I’ll be reprocessing when I get home.

The extra is of Black Crag’s summit in some early sunlight.
