Sunshine, crochet and GoT

Today has been a much better day! As evidenced by the photos I even got out in the garden for a little (just to have a wander and then sit listening to the birds, the wind and someone's lovely wind chime)

I was jealous of the little girl lying reading - hopefully it'll be warm enough for me to do that soon. I hear we're due some warm weather later this week so fingers crossed!!

I also figured out the new Game of Thrones series episode one is available for me to view online today - so I'm excited to watch that tonight!!

I started crocheting some flowers earlier today for the Millions Missing Manchester event (which will be on 11th May from 2-5pm this year). Millions Missing is something that is held in different cities and countries across the world to raise awareness of CFS/ME and all those that can't take part in society because of these illnesses. I think the hope is to raise enough awareness to get more funding into vital research as there is currently only £1 per person with CFS/ME going towards research and there's currently no cure. Some people are lucky enough to get better, but some have it for life and the most severe are completely bedridden. Those who can't make the event are encouraged to send a pair of shoes with a note with their story on them.
I hope I'll make it along as it sounds a really touching event (though could be quite emotional!)
