Gardening

After my wedding efforts yesterday we were inspired to head to our local garden centre this morning to pick up new tools as ours had been eaten by the garden fairies.

Was tempted by plants too but restricted ourselves to a single lavender to replace one of the three at the front door as it was deader than a doornail.

However we then went on to B&Q to pick up the things the garden centre didn’t have and were tempted into buying geraniums, a new wisteria and some pea plants as well as new stain for the fence. I refused to buy a spray set as it was £25 and I was determined that it would be a simple job to hand apply the stain.
Boy was I wrong - after completing only 2 panels, we agreed that we would return tomorrow and buy the spray set as not only was it hard work but I looked mahogany from the amount of spray all over me!

We then pruned some of the bushes in the front garden and planted up all the planters round the front door - hence the blip. Rationalised the lilies into one tub, planted up the geraniums, the lavender and the wisteria before moving on to the mint and the peas. Our front porch is a real sun trap so I’m hoping for a good crop.

Now relaxing in front of the Great British Menu and feeling aches in unusual places.
More gardening on the cards for tomorrow after a trip to the local tip to recycle the garden waste generated so far!

Thanks for all comments and stars once again - always appreciated
