The long walk

It was a bit cool today but I was ok in a T shirt so decided to walk to the graveyard to water the plants I put in recently.
Got out the twin buggy for Ruby (she was in the left hand seat) and Hendrix. Jonty wanted to come, wouldn't have left him behind anyway but I wonder if he would have been so keen if he'd known how far we were going.
Spent about 5 minutes putting two watering cans full of water on the two graves and the concrete pot you can see in the photo (for my sister in law Sonia but she's not gone yet!). So the walking time was 1 hour and 20 minutes but some of that is uphill on the way there and mostly uphill on the way back. My legs were like jelly when we got home but I really enjoyed the walk.

This evening went out to the Gloucester war memorial at the park where the local branch of the RBL were holding a wreath laying ceremony for D-Day. It happens every year, not just every 75 years! They also commemorate many other dates through the year in this way.
