Artists in the family

Loved a quirky giclee print  of a fish the minute I saw it today during Open Studios, so of course I bought it.

Its of a painting by Robin Chapman Campbell, near Doune in the style of an Old Masters but with a humorous modern twist. (See extra)

This is the first year that Robin (venue 30) has opened on his own and he invited members of his family and friends to join him.

Photo: Robin (left) with his wife, Vicki Clifford a well known crime writer,( and yes I ended up buying her latest book, “Who is she?”)  and son James, a water-colourist.

PS This is the second day of Forth Valley Artbeat and from all accounts its going very well with lots of visitors. I am told they were queuing up yesterday in the Stirling Arcade for the artist collective event , GOSSIP, to open.
