Water

This drop of water fell to earth a million times. Not at the same place, not in the same combination, but each atom have been on earth since time begun.
It contains traces of all the creatures that drank it and all the plants in which stems it surged.
It changed form, it moved between continents, it had been part of the ocean and the soil and the sky.
It was rivers and lakes, geasers and glaziers, snow and hail, winter rain and summer storms.
It formed snow drifts and steam above volcanoes, icicles on wire fences and puddles to jump in.
It fed and it killed.
It is what life is.

And we think we are so big.
