They're Back!

Dear Diary,

It seems that just as the Baptistia begin to bloom, the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterflies return to my garden.  Like the Dragonflies, which I look forward to seeing each June, the swallowtails are such a welcome addition to the gardens.  I just have to sit in the garden near a Baptistia plant and wait, one always flutters by.  I must say, again, how impressed I am with my little Canon.  The detail on this butterfly is really good I think.  Who knew that butterflies are so fuzzy!  There is a variety that visits that has some blue spots along the edge of the wings.  I hope I can get a photo of them too at some point.
