All The Restaurant Tables Are In The River

A day trip from Marrakesh along the Ourika Valley and into the Atlas Mountains to a town called Setti Fadma where were met by our guide Ahmed. The town was lovely and how can you not love a town where all the restaurant tables are in the river (extra)?

Ahmed took us on an hour’s hike up the mountain to one of the seven local waterfalls (extra), where the kids were playing in the very cold melt water off the mountain. It was a beautiful (and gentler) walk down and we stopped off at a local Berber artisan cooperative to see the carpet weavers and stone carvers.

After our lunch, with our feet in the river, we headed back into Marrakesh. It was our last full day and all of us have really enjoyed our holiday and will be a little bit sad to be going home tomorrow evening.
