Pictorial blethers

Purely domestic ...

I took some lovely photos of lilies today (or photos of lovely lilies) in a hotel garden in Dunoon, but before that I'd been struck by the attractive light in my kitchen as I was making coffee. The back door is open as I've been hanging out some washing (you can just see it) and we're about to pour the coffee and take it outside into the sunshine. The cafetière is sitting on the worktop to the right, the mugs warming beside it (they've an inch of boiling water in the bottom - I'm fussy about a warmed coffee mug), and all is well with the world.

My kitchen is in fact small - that's it, with a long open larder behind me and to the left slightly - but I have more useable worktop than many a larger kitchen I've cooked in, and I've become very used to having everything to hand when I need it. We're needing a new larder fridge, and I have hopes that we may have found the replacement that will fit ...

I found a work-around for the photos, by the way, and they're all safely backed up on my external drive. Now I really ought to get that new computer ...
