Next in my Patient hands series is Jacques whom you've met very shortly after my arrival here. He's recently been fitted with a state-of-the-art leg prosthesis, complete with a microprocessor that analyses the steepness of the ground he's walking in so that it can activate a brake when he goes downhill. Not being particularly shy of his efforts, Jacques proceeded to ask if he could bike with his new leg. Or rather, to try. He bought himself foot-straps and mounted his bike; and off he went...
