Halifax Library

Being a librarian, Liz feels drawn to libraries so we visit them often whilst away. The central public library in Halifax was a gem, a well used, wonderful building. My favourite (apart from the rooftop coffee shop) was two massive walls made up of book related painted blocks.
The extra was on the waterfront, a memorial for Canadian troops leaving for Europe during the First World War never to return to Canadian soil.
