Wet World Championship

Cannot even begin to describe the rain here this morning, it’s relentless.
Couldn’t be worse for the men’s world championship race which came along the bypass next to our village.
Due to the weather the start was postponed so it meant we we were waiting twenty minutes longer than planned.
Parts of the route are flooded.
From this spot they have another 234 km to the finish.

While we were waiting and seconds before this photograph, Adele got a telephone call to tell her that her dad had just passed away in the nursing home he has lived in for the past few years.
A shock to say the least so they have returned home straight away, my grandsons have lost their maternal grandad.
