Hydrangea

Another glorious autumn day. I'd planned to get into the garden for some seasonal tidying up and it was really a pleasure. Blue sky, sunshine, not much wind, geese overhead and PLENTY to do. After a couple of hours of green gym raking, sweeping and cutting back there are still leaves all over the garden, rowan berries just waiting to grow into unwanted trees and lots of straggly plants that need to be hacked down. But I'm happy to have done some work and to have been in the fresh air.

An unwelcome email arrived cancelling our booking at a B&B next week. So there was an anxious wee while finding an alternative - which luckily I managed to do. After that excitement coffee and two stroopwafels were called for.

The blip is the skeleton flowers of a nice red hydrangea which has become shamefully overgrown. There's a bed at the bottom of the garden which needs serious work.
