Back to the forest

After quite a few weeks I finally managed to take a Sunday walk in Epping Forest with Zeus09smum and Zeus.  Whilst we walked, the sun shone, the sky was blue and it was lovely to be outside in the fresh air.  I;m sure that Zeus09smum is delighted that her broken ankle is now healed well enough for her to both drive and walk again.   I only took my phone with me today, so photos were of limited quality.  I liked a few but have gone for this shot of one of the many shelters to be found around here built by people taking forest skills and survival courses.

In other news: today marks my father's birthday.  Had he lived so long , he would have been 105 years old, having been born in the first year of WW1
