OUR OAK TREE
Our oak tree has lost leaves, but the remaining leaves are beautifully colouring now. We own this oak, or can one better say: the oak owns us?
The oak protects us, or that is what we hope for. That's why Piet Hein hugs this old oak when we go for a walk or when we leave for a longer period.
When we had lunch today, I looked out and saw a red squirrel, and a beautiful one it was, sitting on a thin branch in the garden and from there he/she jumped upon a darker tree and disappeared out of my view.
I did not see her coming back with a nut or two.
Mostly a grey day, but we face timed in the morning with Mischa who has her birthday today. So it was still a festive day. Memories of her birth of course, it snowed at that time in Kamerik, Holland.
