our little visitor

Lucy came over with her dad this morning and stayed for lunch, the Christmas tree went up earlier this week just in time for Lucy to be the first to hang her tree ornament, when each of the Grandies were born i bought them all a 'babies first Christmas' ornament with the year they were born printed on each one, traditionally they come over each Christmas to hang them on the tree, next Friday the older ones are coming to hang theirs, not sure how long this tradition will last? Sara thinks they will all still be coming when they have babies of their own to carry out this tradition, wouldn't that be nice!

News on the fire front:
Its still travelling further North, it has already wiped out 12000 hectares of bushland including a huge piece of Yanchep National Park, a service station and one home lost, its still out of control with more hectares of bushland for it to feed on, all they can do is protect lives and property as it approaches, the next suburb is on standby to evacuate, residents have had plenty of updates,  listening to the news this evening everyone is ready packed with essentials waiting and watching, the nearest evacuation centres are ready to.
More sleepless nights in store for some, but ours are all safe and sound with nothing left to burn around them, got to be thankful for that..
