Gently down the stream

Tiny string of saliva

No, I'm not trying to be gross, but it is Tiny Tuesday and if you look carefully at the beak you will see that top and bottom halves are connected by a string of robin saliva - the tiniest I've ever seen.  (For the full fascination you may have to go into Large ;))

Seriously, it being nearly four weeks since I've blipped one of the Reserve robins, when I turned a corner this morning and saw this little guy singing his heart out like springtime my heart just melted too.  And he let me get so close to him.

I also saw the heron, a stonechat and a treecreeper.  Though all a little too far away for blipping, that was still a thrill.

Now the day has settled down to mizzle,  and as I'm going out tonight I'll do as much commenting as I can before I go and finish the rest tomorrow.

Thanks to KangaZu for hosting this month's TinyTuesday.
xx
