Refinery

Across the water from where I live is a massive petrol production plant. Its always fascinated me. However in the 21 years I've lived in North Vancouver I have never ventured out to see it. So late last night with nothing better to do a few friends and I drove out to take a look at it.

Located on the water of Indian Arm in the middle of nowhere, we found it. The place is massive. The picture only shows a small portion of the refinery. White smoke was billowing out of cooling vents and giant gouts of flame would constantly shoot up out of the tops of the towers. The noise the plant produced was near deafening against the cold winter night sky. It was truly surreal.

We didn't get much closer than where the picture was taken. The whole place was pretty creepy and for being so huge we didn't see a single person.
