In Memory of Valerie

A lover of gardens and very knowledable about differing plants of all kinds, a lover of her two specail needs boys,  a loving wife and a dear friend to many., Born in Tokyo Japan, livied in France and grew up in White Center, WA and passed away in Port Orchard , Wa.  I knew the call would come soon as I could see she was slipping away at our visit yesterday.  But it's never easy altho tears come easy.  Her husband , my "adopted nephew" just lost his Dad and Uncle and now his wife who was only 57.  He will have to figure out a way to support his family of two boys---one severely autistic and the other has downs syndrome.  He will need to find a home for his autistic son in able to work and still maintain his home .  He will try to work out having his other son still at home.  It's such a sad sad situation.  Not enough help from the federal govt. and he has so many applications in for help.  Sigh..  He mentioned the other day during our visit how he no longer considered socialized medicare for all a bad idea after all the problems his family has had with private insurance and getting care for his dying wife.  
   May she rest now in peace.  Her earthly struggles are over.  We will all try to continue to surround her remaining family with love.
