North Sea from the LNER line

The views of the North Sea from the train near Berwick-upon-Tweed were fabulous this afternoon on our journey to Northallerton. I've often wanted to photograph this ruined house, so was pleased to capture it from the carriage window today.

This morning we packed for our wee break, and I also managed to dash up the road to visit Véronique, who is now out of hospital after her as-yet-undiagnosed illness of 28th February.

We are now happily installed at my school friend Lindsey's bed and breakfast in the Yorkshire Dales. Because we are her only guests, she has upgraded us from a bed and breakfast room to her rental cottage. It is absolutely beautiful, and very spacious with a huge kitchen/living room, two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, and wonderful views of the countryside from every window.

Exercise today: walking (11,816 steps).
