Sign of the times

A good friend of mine dropped off a mask this afternoon. She is making them for a small circle of friends and each one is different.

I have yet to go out with mine on but it’s becoming clear that we are all going to be wearing them.

The newspaper I used to work for in Glasgow, The Herald, told all the journalists, who are already working from home, that they must come in before the end of May to collect their stuff because the office lease will not be renewed.

The journalists are now homeless. Management assures them alternative premises will be found.
But one Saturday newspaper carried a long obituary on the death of the office. This was no scaremongering tabloid but the authoritative Financial Times.

And the CEO of Twitter announced that all staff could now work at home “forever”.
