Edinburgh castle barely visible through the haar

The city was submerged under the haar when I took my walk this morning - so much so that the castle was barely visible, even from Princes Street garden.

I walked a lot further than usual today because one of my routes along the Water of Leith was blocked and my made-up-on-the-spot diversion took me much further west than I intended. I also added to my step count when I popped out to Real Foods to buy some provisions just before lunch.

I made a bit more progress on my writing this afternoon, then had fun in my wellies on the patio with five buckets of water and a brush. I'm trying to clear all the mud off the paving stones now that the new slabs border for the raised beds are in situ. Another five buckets will probably do it.

Exercise today: walking (22,954 steps).
