Scenes from Compton Verney

Luckily we had arranged to meet Maureen and Ian at Compton Verney this morning.  By lunchtime we were having thunderstorms and very heavy rain.  This didn't ease off until about 4pm.

Anyway this morning the weather was fine and we had a lovely walk and chat at a suitably social distance, more or less, in a group of less than six......what good citizens we are!  I didn't have any problem keeping my distance as I was constantly lagging behind taking photos whilst the other three walked and chatted.

I ended up taking quite a lot of photos, so not being able to choose one I picked four of my favourites for a collage.  The grebe carrying the long, long stick really made me smile. We watched the pair on the mating platform/nest on Springwatch a few days back, this picture reminded me.
