The Kiltwalk

By thekiltwalk

?He's gonna buy a dinghy, Gonna call her . . .?

I'd love to say it was called Dignity, but sadly it's not and OK I know it's hardly a dinghy but hey I'm taking a bit of poetic license.

I'm just back from a few days holiday in New York, which involved an exciting meeting with the American Scottish Foundation, of which more to come in the following weeks. So while the body clock gets back to normal, thought I'd treat you to this wonderful picture taken by Lindsay Kenny.

Lindsay and her friend and fellow Kilt walker Lindsay Beattie, who are training for their first Kiltwalk, took this fantastic picture last Sunday when they walked for close to three hours.

The boat, the 'Argent' from the fishing port of Portavogie on the Strangford peninsula of Northern Ireland ran aground on Macringans Point in Campbeltown Loch on 21st December last year. Fortunately none of the four crewman were injured, which was due to the wonderful job the Campbeltown Lifeboat crew do.

I have to say that when you hear that that our Lindsay's are spoiled with views from Kintyre to Arran, Ailsa Craig and the Ayrshire Coast then I'm wondering if anyone would be up for a Campbeltown Kiltwalk ?

Good luck with the training ladies and see you in April.
