Swithland Wood

SheClicks online coffee morning, then I invited Ann over for a cuppa, then Len, Basil and I motored over to Leicester to feed Ben and Jerry. The piece of string had held secure on the kitchen door. They were still confined to the conservatory. Ravenously hungry for their wet food though.

On the way home, we stopped at Swithland Wood where Basil could get a run. As you can see, Len found a useful log for resting.

Swithland Wood is the largest remaining fragment of the original Charnwood Forest and is a SSSI. It's in poor shape at the moment. The ground is terrifyingly dry.
