B... Freezing!

Please view LARGE to appreciate the panoramic format.

Overnight snow made us cautious about driving over very steep roads this morning; so we drove to Blindcrake, just north of Bassenthwaite, and climbed Clints Crags. The crags, a small limestone pavement, are cold at the best of times, but today we were battered by snow, wind, hail - straight in the face (which actually hurts the eyeballs!) - and it finally turned to rain, when we gave up and retired to Wellingtons ice cream cafe for Talisker and marmalade ice cream.

I shot this field of sheep near to where we parked the car - I just liked the group, and the line of the fence in the background.

Hope you like it too.
