Deja vu

Not the first time I have blipped this.

It appears today in sympathy for the village of Silverdale which is in a form of lockdown. Residents cannot meet in each others houses houses or gardens. Nor can we visit them and they cannot come into our houses or gardens in Arnside.

Arnside, which is two miles away is not in lockdown. Our friends from Silverdale could drive over to Arnside and meet us in the pub here so long as we are not a group of more than six. The pub will close at 10 p.m. and we would have to have table service.

The Pepperpot was built in 1887 to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee. It looks down on Silverdale village and is reached by a lovely walk through National Trust woodland.
