Weight loss journey progress report 11102020
Weekly progress report: good week with small loss despite the white carbohydrates
Starting weight (25 May 2018 = 273lb)
Today’s weight 197.2 lb
Average weigh last week = 199.7 lb
Average weight this week = 196.9 lb
Weight loss = 0.8lb
Note: I weigh every day first thing and calculate weight loss based on average weight for the week.
Week 24 of the lockdown and 4 weeks home from hospital since discharge after stroke and I’m glad toreport a small weight loss it might not be much (0.8 lb) but it’s a loss and not a gain and I’m happy about that.I attribute this to being able to keep my calorie intake lower than my energy expenditure. It could have been more if I had been stricter with my diet in terms of avoiding white carbohydrates. I secummed to the temptation of potatoes four nights this week and my usual eggy breakfast was replaced by muesli and berries on four mornings – much easier and quicker to prepare when watched over by carers.it also could have been more if I had been able to helpmove the woodchip at the allotments but I am feeling too fatigued and delicate to attempt too much manual work
So what about next week? WellI hope to keep to my normal low white carbohydrate vegetable loaded diet anwith plenty of vegetables and berries and avoid the temptation of potatoes and cereals. If I do and avoid too many sweet treats and empty calories I hope to record another weight loss. I should be able to: that is my goal for the week
I hope you all have had a good week and that you are keeping safe and fit in these uncertain times. I also hope that the lockdown, the easing of it and the second wave of the virus is not having too much of a detrimental effect on your scales. Keep positive and safe.
