An Artist's Life

Still Sculpting!

Hi and Happy 2021! It even smells better than 2020.....the year I lost my 2020 vision, American Democracy went to hell, and the Orange Menace was deposed (although he's fighting his loss tooth and tong).
In any case, this is my bronze of a Plains woman dragging the family tipi to a new location on a two-poled travois. Her wolf-pup trots beside her as they slowly make their way across the short-grass plains. The buffalo hide tipi will weigh up to 250 lbs. when it's rolled up for travel. Other family members have travois loaded with all the other house-hold goods. The papoose on her back is probably asleep as the rhythm of the walking mustang soothes him until they stop at their new, but temporary home. Chasing the bison across the vast plains is a migratory task for all Plains Indian nations.
