Dad & his older brother

were orphaned at a young age, Dad was 8 years old, Uncle Phil  5 years older. Uncle Phil went to live with an aunt & uncle in Chudleigh, Dad was going to be put in an orphanage, but another member of the family offered to take him in. The rabbit went to Chudleigh.
I was racking my brain while walking over the heath with Indie this morning, thinking of book titles, & blip possibilities, then when I got back to Mum's she told me to take a look through some old photos she'd been looking through over the past few days. Quite a few of Dad & his brother, a couple of my cousins when they were very young, & this black & white photo taken outside the Candy's Social Club in Heathfield. My grandparents were the caretakers. 

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Devon. :-)
